Theo Jordan

I was born and raised in Chicago, then taken captive by my parents for the flight to the suburbs that many moms and dads say is 'good for the kids'. And it was. But it really only reinforced my desire to move back to the city. Which I never intend to leave again. Just as I never intend to stop helping people buy and sell homes. It's something I'm passionate about. It's the most significant purchase or sale a person might ever make and I take that seriously. I love the challenge, the chase, the discovery and the happiness it brings. Luckily, I'm good at it! I'm also good at communicating, which is essential to any client relationship.

This career never let's you forget why you have two ears and one mouth. Listen carefully, ask the right questions, and help clients prioritize needs they didn't initially think were important I love getting to know people and  finding out what motivates them, so real estate is the ideal profession because it allows me to understand how outside variables affect what and how we buy.

Named a Top-Rated Estate Agent by Top Rated Media, Inc., Theo is also a Certified Negotiation Expert and holds Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource Certifications. She earned her broker's license immediately after graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara with  a degree in Business Economics and a minor in psychology. The Chicago Association of Realtors named her a 'Top Producer' in 2015 and she has an impressive 97% average list-to-sale price. She also serves as secretary of the @gives back Community Fund through which @properties works to positively impact city communities.

I am a Chicagoan through and through. While I grew up in the suburbs, I was always spending most of my time here in the city. It has just always held such fascination for me. It’s still that way. The restaurants. The events. Always something new happening. I can’t imagine not being part of it. I keep my finger on the pulse of what’s going on in the city, whether it’s a provocative new museum exhibit, dinner and drinks at the newest hotspot or learning the latest ins-and- outs of the tech scene. That fluidity and being there in the moment is part of what brings deals together and keeps them going to a successful finish. We strive to be available whenever our clients need us because we know the Chicago real estate market is fast-paced and subject to change on a dime, not unlike our weather.

Katie’s background is in marketing, public relations and social media, which is a perfect complement when it comes to dealing with prospective clients and helping them achieve their goals. The University of Kansas graduate is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors and Windy City Blogger Collective. She specializes in helping first-time buyers explore what the Chicago real estate market has to offer across different neighborhoods, while offering insights into what’s new and exciting and sets each apart. She also actively  volunteers with various organizations including Bright Pink, Jewish United Fund’s Tikkun Olan Volunteer Network and Midwest Palliative & Hospice Care Center.

After spending 42 years in advertising, I am happy to be pursuing my second career in an area I have always had great passion for. Finding wonderful places to live. At first, for myself. Now, for others. I am thrilled to help Theo and Katie do that for you.
